Eventually, you have to just stop caring what certain people think about you. Even if you don’t deserve it, you’ve got to let it go. It’ll drive you insane, holding on.
I typically don’t read a lot of fiction, but I couldn’t put this one down— I finished it in about three hours. Short stories are the best.
Bob Dylan - Subterranean Homesick Blues
I try not to rant here, but wow, that was cold.
Girls definitely hold more grudges than guys. I was totally over it. Apparently, four months wasn’t enough time for everything to cool off.
Owl City Rips Off The Postal Service?
Read that article, then read this response:
If you appreciate the legendary Gibbard/Tamborello combination at all, you’ll realize that Owl City is just not even close. I mean, I’ve been listening to Owl City since wayy before he was cool to anyone but music geeks like me, and I respect him a lot, but he just can’t compare. He is pure electro-pop, and The Postal Service was much more alternative pop music. It’s like comparing Owl City with Exciter-era Depeche Mode; you just can’t do it! The beeps and buzzes are similar, I guess, but it’s just not the same style of music. Plus, Owl City has lyrics about, like, love and God and such. The Postal Service was essentially Death Cab lyrics (AKA, remorse and failed relationships) stuck into Tamborello’s wicked electronics. I’ve heard so many people compare Owl City and Postal Service, but they should just quit. Postal Service definitely ranks higher on my favorite bands list, but they’re both good, and they’re both different from each other.
